With an increasing emphasis on younger adults debilitated by knee osteoarthritis globally, there is a rapid advancement in the operative techniques for knee cartilage preservation and salvage. The formation of the society is to enable dedicated Orthopaedic surgeons in Singapore to bring forward the ideas and practice on knee preservation surgeries.

Singapore Knee Preservation Society (SKPS) strives to provide a pillar for Orthopaedic surgeons with shared interests to promote the science and art in knee osteotomies, cartilage and meniscal procedures as part of the armamentarium in knee preservation surgeries.
